I hate watching the news. It's depressing.

Two children (18 months and 4 years) in the hospital due to being attacked by pitbulls. The uncle was babysitting the kids and said the dogs were shut in a room. The dogs are being put to sleep. WHO PUTS CHILDREN IN A HOUSE WITH PITBULLS, WHY WASN'T THE UNCLE WATCHING? WTF?

A bus driver in Dallas strangles a handicapped kid!!!!!!!!!! And nine months later she resigns. It's on video tape. HOW DOES SHE GET AWAY WITH THAT?!

A stabbing at Walmart in the next town over.

Happiness

Happiness is laying in bed on a stormy morning cuddling with the one you love.

Ok, so I didn't get to do that this morning but I was wishing I could. 

8 days. :)

My heart is in Nashville. 10 hours from here. 

Somedays I'm ok, some nights I cry myself to sleep.

I love hearing your voice, I don't know what I'd do without it. 

But I want to see your face, 

to feel your touch, 

to breathe you in, 

to taste your kiss.

6 weeks is too long.

I need you near.

Love is so much more than I dream of. 

Thank you for loving me.

I find peace when I look into your eyes.

It's funny how it can take three years to see that person across a crowded room.
It's not important how long it took, but I'm so glad we saw each other.

And I love walking with you.

Some people focus on the beginning
some focus on the end
but some, like me, fit somewhere else along the way.

Newness is exciting but newness wears off
and if you focus on the end you miss out on the adventure that leads you there.

So why the beginning? Why the end?
Why not just enjoy the beauty of the journey?

I like focusing the journey and sharing it with others.
There are big steps to take and there are little steps.
There are fun steps and scary steps
but the best part is having someone to take them with.

Hopefully we won't fall down
but it's not the end of the world if we do
because ups and downs are all part of the journey
and when you focus on the journey, the journey is never through.
